Strang Strong Gutmann Foundation 2026 Summer Program
The SSGF Summer Program is designed for Lansingburgh High School and Troy High School rising seniors (students who completed their junior year) who are interested in exploring a career in Information Technology (IT). The program provides paid training over 6 weeks during the summer to introduce students to the concepts in Information Technology.
Skills attained at end of program:
- Hardware Management: You'll learn about different parts of a computer and how to use them.
- Operating Systems: You learn how to Install and use Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile operating systems.
- Software Troubleshooting: You learn how to find and fix problems with computers and mobile devices.
- Networking: You learn about different types of networks and how to connect them.
- Device and Network Troubleshooting: You learn how to solve problems with devices and networks.
- Security: You learn how to protect computers and networks from threats.
- Mobil Devices: You learn how to set up and use laptops and other mobile devices.
- Virtualization and Cloud Computing: You learn about cloud computing and how to set up virtual computers.
- Operational Procedures: You learn the best ways to work safely and professionally.
SSGF 2026 Program Details
- Our program will run from Monday July 20th to Friday August 28th
- Students will learn 2 hours per day for 5 days a week for 6 weeks.
- This will be 60 total hours.
- Students will be paid at a rate of $16.00 per hour.
- Snack will be provided for students.
- Hours of class to be provided.
